Luko

Luko, a French insurtech founded in 2016, aimed to revolutionize home insurance with a digital-first, transparent model. Their approach involved taking a fixed 30% of premiums for operational costs, pooling the remaining 70% to cover claims, and donating any surplus to charities chosen by policyholders.

In January 2024, Luko was acquired by Allianz Direct. This acquisition allowed Allianz to integrate Luko’s digital expertise and customer base, strengthening its position in the French online insurance market.
