Crystalline Mirror Solutions (CMS) is an Austrian startup specializing in ultra-low-noise reflective optics using proprietary crystalline coating technology. Their single-crystal GaAs/AlGaAs mirrors, developed through a substrate-transfer process, offer superior thermal stability and minimal optical loss, making them ideal for applications in optical atomic clocks, gravitational wave detectors, and high-power laser systems. Founded in 2012 as a spin-off from the University of Vienna, CMS was acquired by Thorlabs in 2019 and now operates as Thorlabs Crystalline Solutions, continuing to advance precision optics for scientific and industrial use.
